Before beginning
Choose a quiet time when the student can work independently. This is a starting check, not a pass-or-fail test.
- Allow the recommended amount of time.
- Have scratch paper available.
- Explain that it is okay not to know every answer.
- Select Begin Diagnostic.
While answering
The diagnostic shows one question at a time. Select the best answer and continue.
- Read the complete question.
- Choose one answer card.
- Select Save and Continue.
- Use the progress bar to see how much remains.
Saving and resuming
Each answer is saved when the student continues. If the session is interrupted, sign in again and select Continue Diagnostic.
Good to know
- Do not use the browser Back button to change earlier answers.
- Parents and teachers should not explain which answer is correct.
Quick answers
Is there a countdown timer?
No. The displayed time is an estimate so the diagnostic stays calm and focused.
What if the student needs a break?
Saved answers remain available. The student can sign in again and continue.
