SSAT Lower Level Math Test
The Secondary School Admissions Test, generally known as the SSAT, is a structured test used to assess entrance to private elementary, middle, and high schools.
The SSAT is currently divided into three levels:
- Lower Level (for students in 3rd and 4th grade)
- Middle Level (for students in 5th-7th grade)
- Upper Level (for students in 8th-11th grade)
The SSAT, Lower Level Test, is divided into four sections:
- Quantitative (Mathematics): 30 questions, 30 minutes
- 30 questions, 20 minutes for the verbal section
- Reading section: 7 short sections, 28 questions, and 30 minutes.
- Writing sample: 15 minutes to write a short passage.
The Lower Level SSAT Quantitative (Mathematics) portion assesses students' knowledge and skills in solving real-world and mathematical problems incorporating arithmetic, elementary algebra, geometry, and other comparable subjects. It covers the following Math topics:
