The GED Math Overview

Those without a high school diploma must take the GED (General Educational Development) exam. Test takers who pass the GED have improved their school-level academic ability in the United States or Canada.

The GED exam consists of four parts: Language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies are all important subjects.

The GED Math Exam lasts 115 minutes and consists of 45-49 problems. The GED test is divided into two halves. Students are not permitted to use a calculator throughout Part one, yet the questions are simple to answer. Part two consists of approximately 39-40 questions and test-takers can use a calculator throughout this section.
